About Historic Home Tours
About: Thank you for your interest in HistoricHomeTours.com. We are very excited about our company and how it benefits the historical community. Christy and I have been involved in our historic neighborhood for over twelve years. We moved into a 1926 Mission Revival home in 1995 and we haven't looked back. We have shed blood, sweat, tears, and of course money while rehabbing our home for our growing family. And I have to say, we still haven't completed the task! There are so many of us across the country who are working to improve our homes. But we are also working to improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods that our homes are in.

Christy and I have been involved with our neighborhood, both professionally with my job as a residential realtor, and also as a representative, vice president, and president of our neighborhood association. We have worked tirelessly to improve our historic district for ourselves and also for our children's future.

A few years back, our association began having home tours. They provide great publicity for our neighborhood as well as profitable fundraising in which to improve our area. My wife enjoys working on the committee as committee member, co-chair, and eventually head chair. All the tours have been a great success. However, a few years ago, while vacationing in my home state of New Jersey, we came upon a poster in a little café in Spring Field advertising a home tour that was to be held the following weekend. My wife and I discussed our desire to go to a tour that was not in our area, and the fact that we would love to have visited this tour if we had known about it when planning our trip. This is when our wheels began to turn. We realized that home tour associations across America are all working independently of each other, often with isolated web coverage and few additional resources. Most of the time, there are only a few faithful people planning the entire event. We believed that if there was one site where organizations could list all their tours information, and provide them with the ability to sell tickets on line by credit card, then this would fill a huge need in our historical community. We also realized how much our society is dependent on the internet, and knew that tour guest's wanted an easier way to find tours, both where they live and also where they travel, as well as the ability to purchase tickets online.

It has been a long journey, but we know that God is in complete control of our business and it will thrive and succeed only because His hand is on it. We hope that you enjoy your experience with us here at HistoricHomeTours.com., and we hope to see you soon on a future tour!

Warmest Regards,

Jerry and Christy Sosnicki
